Lol… I've spent the whole of Monday feeling hungover.

No alcohol.

Just Norway beating Brazil.

The match finished well after midnight. And, nobody in their right mind would have gone to bed after that. Not with the midnight sun still hanging over the sea. It was just as if it had been waiting for the final whistle too.

So outside we went.

Flags. Laughter. Bare legs. Warm air against skin.

Somewhere in Oslo more than a hundred thousand people filled the streets outside the Royal Palace. There were celebrations in Tromsø too and in every other city of this country.

And here, on a little island in the Arctic, there was definitely room for one more celebration.

A white sandy beach. Håja glowing. The sea completely open. People still awake. The whole country seemed to have fallen in love with itself for a few hours.

I don't remember the last time I felt that much joy. Or wanted a night to last that badly.

Monday was hopeless after that. My body kept insisting it was still Sunday.

But, I can’t do nothing but keep laughing...

I hope life interrupts me like that more often.
